Running the Playbook on Dotwork
This playbook isn't a pitch for one tool — the plays stand on their own. But we built Dotwork to be the operating model the headless enterprise needs, so here's where each play lives in it.
| Play | Where it runs in Dotwork |
|---|---|
| Model the operating reality | Ontology Studio — model your business in a conversation from a reference model, then refine, compare and deploy in the Model Designer. Enterprise Operating Model as the shared foundation. |
| Connect the systems of record | Integration Studio — connect a system by describing it; requests drafted and tested before they save. Cost Allocation reconciles money to the ledger. |
| Open the model to every AI | Headless Operations — a remote MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor and others, signed in as the person with their permissions; Dot in Slack and Teams. |
| Put agents on narrow jobs | Meet Dot — skills built by describing them to Dot, run on request or on a schedule, with approvals routed to the decision owner. |
| Govern AI like the business | AI Governance & Value Realization and Enterprise Standards & Controls — inventory, intake, access and evidence on the same model. |
| Run the economics of AI | AI Token Economics and Cloud Spend Optimization — spend metered at the rate in force, assigned to teams and outcomes, and value counted only with evidence. |
| Scale, measure and keep it current | Transformation Management for outcomes, value and maturity; Strategic Portfolio Management and Strategy Validation for the decisions. |
How Dot fits
Dot, Dotwork's AI, reads the operating model and the person's permissions before it does anything. It prepares the work — collecting updates, explaining variances, drafting readouts — and routes decisions to the people who own them. Any other AI your people use reads the same model through MCP, so there's one picture of the business behind every assistant.
Where to start
Most teams start with one question that matters and an Operating Model Bootcamp: a live slice of their operating model, on their own data, built by their own people alongside ours. From there, the plays above are a matter of widening what's already working.
